Job Summary
This position will coordinate all marketing for the company including working with company leadership to develop a comprehensive annual marketing plan and executing all marketing activities. Duties will include content development, social media marketing, email marketing and public relations. The marketing manager will help us continue to build brand awareness and demand for our products.
Successful applicants will possess a minimum of one year marketing experience and must be currently enrolled or have previously completed an education program in marketing. Graphic design skills are critical. Demonstrated experience with copy writing and front line customer service and support a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Create and maintain company marketing calendar. Develop, implement, manage and measure all marketing initiatives for the company.
Create digital and print marketing including Facebook, Google Adwords, and Instagram campaigns. Research and implement productive magazine and other outreach marketing.
Manage Google Analytics and track SEO with the help of the programming team. Help programming team create conversion rate optimization.
Develop and distribute established regular eNewsletter blasts.
Manage and create content for Family ChartMasters’ presence on social media including maintaining an established blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Manage client interaction on all social media platforms.
Work with management to develop new relationships with social media influencers and manage public relations outreach activities. Cultivate new affiliate relationships.
Determine and track ROI on all social media and marketing initiatives such as tradeshows, digital and print campaigns. Produce marketing report to help determine future directions. Research new marketing trends.
Think creatively to develop new design concepts, graphics, layouts and presentation solutions. Maintain technical knowledge by keeping up to date with the current software, marketing trends and computer technologies to remain productive.
Work together with a team to create a positive work environment and collaborate on the creative process.
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of marketing strategies and specific activities.
Excellent grasp of social media best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret customer’s needs and communicate possible solutions.
Adaptive design eye and skill with creative flair and up to date originality. Experience with graphic design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
Experience with genealogy programs and files such as Family Tree Maker, RootsMagic, GEDcom, Legacy Family Tree, PAF, etc. Experience with genealogy databases and websites such as FamilySearch, Ancestry and MyHeritage
Professionalism regarding other teammates and collaboration with work-life balance.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
